The Professional Program is designed for students interested in a professional ballet career who meet the artistic expectations set forth by the Artistic Director and show a high level of maturity, initiative, motivation, discipline, and commitment.
This does not exclude students who wish to enter college, however, students must be prepared to focus on training as a priority. Students are either required to audition or are invited to the program by the Artistic Director and/or Academy Director.

Upcoming events for professional level students, including auditions and workshops. Enrollment in Houston Ballet Academy year-round programs not required.
Training
Houston Ballet Academy aims to create well-rounded dancers. Students learn a variety of different dance styles.
Performance Opportunities
Professional Program students have several opportunities to perform a diverse range of repertoire by Artistic Director Stanton Welch AM and other acclaimed choreographers.
Academics
Students are required to earn a high school diploma. Learn more about our non-traditional academic classes.
Accommodations
There are many places to live in the area near Houston Ballet. Both chaperoned and non-chaperoned housing options are available.
