Dalirys Valladares, a former Principal Dancer with Ballet de Monterrey, received her training at the Cuban School of Ballet. Originally from Matanzas, Cuba, she graduated from the National Ballet School in Havana and began her professional career with Ballet de Camagüey, later joining Ballet de Monterrey, where she quickly rose to the rank of Principal Dancer.
Throughout her distinguished career, she has performed leading roles in many of the great classical ballets, including Swan Lake, Giselle, Raymonda, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Paquita, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet among others. She has also worked with renowned choreographers and teachers such as Fernando Alonso, Fernando Bujones, Ramona de Saá, Rosa Elena Alvarez, Koulubeck Ishenaliev, Robert Hill, and Jorge Amarante.
After retiring from the stage, Ms. Valladares dedicated herself to teaching and mentoring the next generation of dancers. She has served on the faculty of the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey and has taught at International Dance Academy, Ramon Moreno School of Ballet, Quenedit Ballet School among others.
She is currently a Principal Ballet Instructor at Houston Ballet Academy, Upper School Faculty, where she continues to share her extensive knowledge, artistry, and passion for classical ballet.
