Under the artistic direction of Julie Kent and Stanton Welch AM, Houston Ballet is a professional classical ballet company with a guaranteed minimum 43 week per year AGMA contract. The company boasts a broad range of classical and contemporary repertoire with more than 80 performances a season.

 

Houston Ballet is seeking male and female dancers with strong classical and contemporary technique for the 2026-2027 season.

 

Pre-registration for open auditions is not required. Dancers should bring a résumé and current headshot (additional dance photos may be submitted but are not required). Ladies must bring pointe shoes. Selected dancers may be asked to stay for repertory.

Company class auditions are by invitation only. Although we prefer that dancers attend one of our open auditions, individuals interested in being considered for a company class audition may submit the following materials:

·       Résumé /CV (PDF or Word doc only) including your email address, height, training and performance experience

·       Current headshot

·       Full body dance shot

·       Video link (Vimeo or YouTube only) including at least TWO classical variations and ONE contemporary variation
