All Professional Program students are required to earn a high school diploma or GED equivalent through nontraditional academic classes or online schooling.
Houston Ballet Academy does not provide an accredited program for the completion of high school. It is recommended for students to reach out to their current school for online options to maintain continuity with their education. The Associate Director of Student Life is available to provide additional resources and information on nontraditional academic classes or online schooling.
Students working towards their high school diploma or GED attend Study Hall two days a week with the Academic Advisors during the Fall and Spring semesters. The Academic Advisors will assist with schoolwork, proctor student exams, and monitor student progress.
Foreign students may be required to take English as an Additional Language (EAL) class once a week.
Students who complete their high school diploma or GED during their time in the Professional Program will be celebrated with an end-of-year graduation ceremony.
